HR Focus Awards

Since the year 2013, HR Focus has successfully organised HR Focus Awards events, as part of the annual HR Focus Conference events. The Awards Scheme seeks to acknowledge and celebrate those who have distinguished themselves in the world of HR.

HR leaders, as strategic Business Partners, are adopting new, creative and innovative strategies to develop their departments and hence the employees in their respective organizations.

Every year, our esteemed awards event promises to be even more exciting and enlightening, with over 30 awards to confer on game changing HR Professionals and Business Leaders!

Out of hundreds of nominees, the HR Focus Awards Technical Committee conferred the award of “Overall Best Organisation in HR Practice” to Newmont Ghana. Their HR Team was also rewarded for excellence in key functions such as: Learning and Development, Compensation and Benefits, and Diversity and Inclusion. They also won Best HR Management in Mining, and the most coveted “HR Practitioner of the year” award.  The event was held on Thursday 28^th September 2023 and saw over 30 large and mid-sized organisations across industries gathered under the theme: “The HR Mandate; Building Resilience in People and Businesses”.

The HR Focus Awards 2021 was held in the Omanye Hall at Labadi Beach Hotel on Friday, 15th October 2021. The Event saw the attendance of over 20 organisations, and was held with special attention to seating due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The awards scheme doved out 39 categories to HR Professionals, teams and organisations  in different industries and was a night to remember!

The HR Focus Awards 2019 event took place at Labadi Beach Hotel on Friday, 11th October 2019. About 27 awards were given out at the event to HR Professionals and teams across industries.

The event brought together top-level executives and business professionals with the aim of shared learning and discussions around a central theme of agile working, and redefining productivity.

Speaking as a guest of honour at the Awards event was Mr. C C Bruce.

The HR Focus Awards 2017 crowned the HR Focus Conference with a grand and classy celebration at the banquet hall on 13^th October 2017. At the event, HR Focus  meted out over 22 prestigious awards across all industries, rewarding the HR Function in various institutions for exceptional work over the past two years.
